Vienna Diocesan Conservatory for Church Music
All members of the all-female chamber choir are students of the Vienna Diocesan Conservatory for Church Music (Diözesankonservatorium für Kirchenmusik Wien), where they study under the Austrian soprano Professor Michaela Wimazal-Hörmanseder. Founded in 1980, the conservatory is the largest and one of the most prestigious institutions for church music in Austria. It has long been dedicated to training highly qualified church musicians and has sent outstanding graduates to many parts of the world. The Archdiocese of Vienna is the sponsoring body of the school.
The chamber choir in this performance is conducted by Shiwei He. As a young Chinese musician active in Austria, she has held numerous concerts at renowned venues such as the Ehrbar Saal, Vienna district halls, the Kursalon Hübner, the Lazaristenkirche, and the Curhauskapelle, gaining extensive stage experience. The piano accompaniment is provided by the young pianist Shinian He.
