Mozart Knaben- und Mächenchor
The Mozart Boys’ and Girls’ Choir Vienna is a choir consisting of children and young adults between the ages of 9 and 25 who live at home and attend a public school of their choice. From as early as the age of 6, young talents have the opportunity to gain their first vocal experiences in the Klangfüchse, where they receive playful ear training and vocal instruction.
As the sound concept of the Mozart Boys’ and Girls’ Choir Vienna also includes male voices, young men are able to remain members of the choir even after their voices have changed. This is also reflected in our flexible ensemble formations – ranging from children’s choir and boys’ choir to men’s choir, all of which are possible within our organization.
In addition to musical education and exciting musical experiences, the Mozart Boys’ Choir Vienna offers new friendships and an irreplaceable sense of community – both of which are essential for personal development. In addition to choir rehearsals, young singers are also offered individual voice lessons with professionally trained vocal pedagogues.
Various tours and concert travels have already taken the Mozart Boys’ and Girls’ Choir Vienna to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Chile, and nearly all countries in Europe. As ambassadors of Austria, we bring our classical and Viennese music to audiences around the world and inspire them with our programs. The most recent tour took place in December 2024 and led to Athens.
The Mozart Boys’ and Girls’ Choir Vienna also regularly collaborates with renowned artists and orchestras, such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg, and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI. World-renowned artists including Barbara Hendricks, Bertrand de Billy, Christian Boesch, Eric Ericson, Marcello Viotti, Sylvain Cambreling, José Cura, and Daniel Harding have also performed together with the choir.
