Yu Min
Yu Min, born in Fujian Province, with ancestral roots in Hebei, China. Graduated in 1989 from Fujian Arts and Crafts School (Gulangyu Campus), majoring
in Painting.
In the early stage of his career, he was engaged in the development and design of fine
arts and crafts for export to Europe and the United States, including sculptural works, and was later assigned to Kuala Lumpur for managerial responsibilities. After returning to China, he devoted himself to the practice of traditional Chinese painting on imitation Song-style silk, using mineral pigments to create both gongbi
(meticulous) and xieyi (freehand) works, covering subjects such as figures, portraits, Buddhist images, and flowers and birds.
Some of his Buddhist-themed works have been collected by clients in Malaysia as well as by private collectors in China.
