Mande Ahmed Gavis

Born and raised in Uganda, the artist is based in Fieberbrunn, Tyrol (Austria), working as a full-time oil and acrylic painter.

After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts, he dedicated himself entirely to painting, blending the vibrant colours and visual language of his heritage with inspirations drawn from everyday life, travel, and active engagement with nature, including alpine skiing.

His work spans cityscapes, landscapes, and outdoor-inspired scenes, capturing the rhythm and energy of the environments he encounters. He is particularly recognized for his abstract wildlife paintings, characterized by bold colour compositions, intricate details, and dynamic forms. Through a strong focus on the eyes, his paintings establish a powerful emotional connection between the viewer and the animal, reflecting the quiet bond shared between humans and the natural world.

His artworks have been featured in exhibitions across the USA, Italy, Spain, Austria, Uganda, Sweden, Kenya, South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and the United Kingdom.
