Francisco Rubiel Osorio Faber

Francisco Rubiel Osorio Faber is an American–Austrian–Colombian artist whose work explores the emotional and existential dimensions of the human condition. Through painting, three-dimensional works, and mixed materials, he engages with themes of duality, beauty and suffering, truth and deception, clarity and mystery—inviting deep reflection and emotional resonance.

With over two decades of exhibitions across the United States, Colombia, and Austria, his artistic career has been shaped by a continuous commitment to reinvention, cultural dialogue, and personal inquiry. His creative process is deeply intuitive and personal, driven by a need to transform inner chaos into visual and symbolic language. Each work becomes both a question and a release—a space for exploration, connection, and growth.

Osorio Faber’s practice is grounded in academic training in studio arts and enriched by years of community engagement. Influenced by his studies with Pat Passlof in New York City, his work balances structure and spontaneity, action and contemplation. Vibrant colour, dynamic form, and material presence allow him to navigate the tensions between inner and outer worlds, instinct and reason.

Born on 26 December 1983 in the United States, he has lived between Colombia and the U.S. for much of his life and is now based in Austria, where he continues to expand his artistic vision. Questions of origin, identity, and cultural belonging are central to his work. Shaped by diverse cultural landscapes—both natural and urban—his art seeks meaning through transformation, offering pathways toward self-discovery, redemption, and a sense of wholeness.
