Xiaoqiang Li
Li Xiaoqiang (Tutou Jueren)
Born in 1963. Graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1987.
He began painting in 2010, successively exploring contemporary ink painting, oil painting, and manuscript-based works. His style employs satirical and exaggerated expressions of real life and he is acclaimed as a leading figure of the Chinese Absurd Painting Movement.
He has held more than ten solo exhibitions across China, and has also exhibited in Germany, France, Helsinki, and other international venues. Since 2021, he has launched a series of manuscript solo exhibitions in cities throughout China, completing twenty-six themed solo manuscript exhibitions that have attracted wide public attention.
